About the project

The Cisco Orchestrated Offer Lifecyle (COOL) is an enterprise application that allows its users to design, commercialize and manage offers from the Cisco supply chain of products and services. It streamlines an unstructured process that users had to manage with their own workflow. Previously, users had to log in to multiple supply chain services, download resources and put offers together using 3rd party tools. Now with COOL, users can design, build and manage offers with better quality straight to market at increased speeds from a centralized application.

My Role

I joined the project as the UX developer within the COOL team at the Cisco campus in San Jose. I was responsible for implementing an Agile UX process that uses short design and development cycles to integrate valid designs into the continuous delivery pipeline. I was also responsible for producing visual artifacts, rapid prototypes, producing code, as well as engage with designers and offshore developers.

I worked directly with the Cisco COOL product owner, business and Dev/IT teams along with the LTI business analysts, designers, UI and backend engineers. Working directly with the COOL team allowed me to provide both usability and techincal input during scheduled meetings or as-needed offline.

As the UX lead, I enforced brand integrity by utilizing the Cisco UI kit and design system for UI elements and components. I also hosted weekly UX/UI design team meetings to provide the opportunity for planning, review, initiatives, communicating doubts and queries on project requirements and tasks assigments.
