About the position
After moving to Chattanooga, TN, I found Check Into Cash as they sought to improve their web presence and improve their customer lead conversions and credit applications. As pioneers in the industry, Check Into Cash had been serving customers in their 800+ walk-in stores nationwide, but had just a few years using their website as an online marketing and credit application tool. Check Into Cash offers many lending and credit services as a whole, but, only offer select products online in specific states. Aside from offering credit accounts online, the website is also used as a store locator, for hosting digital marketing campaigns and a resource for policies, rates and terms for every market.
My Role
I joined Check Into Cash as a User Experience designer to work cross-functionally between E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and the Brand groups. I was responsible for producing visual artifacts, user research, testing, prototyping and push UI code to production. I initially transformed the website that used a separate jQuery Mobile framework for mobile browsing into a single responsive framework while updating the visual design. Working with Digital Marketing, I designed and built landing pages for promotions, lead acquisitions and SEO campaigns to increase conversions using multivariate testing. I also worked with the E-Commerce development group to help give the credit applications and user account dashboards a responsive and improved user experience. I worked directly with the Brand Director to ensure all designs followed the style guide and met brand standards.
